Orly Birds of a Feather and Gel FX

Take flight with ORLY’s Birds of a Feather color collection. A rich collection of shimmering iridescents and deep cremes reminiscent of a beautiful flock of bird feathers.

This is Orly’s latest collection and just as I have felt with many of the other popular companies recent collections I AM UNDERWHELMED!  I feel like I’ve seen these colors over and over, with very little variation.

On the bright side Orly has recently launched a gel polish line called Gel FX.  I’m sure, by now, you all have heard about gel polish. It’s the best thing that’s happened to me in twenty-eleven.  SERIOUSLY! It has revolutionized my manicure life.  I barley use my regular nail polish any more.

Anyway, back to Orly Gel FX.  I haven’t tried this brand specifically yet, but what I like about it is the fact that they have matched the gel colors to 32 of their most popular selling shades of regular nail polish.  Why, you ask, is this important?  It’s simple…so you can easily match your gel manicure to your pedicure.  Most people usually prefer traditional polish on their toes because it last, it’s easier to remove and, (most importantly) its cheaper.  I have SO much more to tell you about gel polish, but SO little time right now.  However, I do have a sneak peak for you.

I PROMISE I will have more treats for you soon!  Until then, check out my new favorite video (for this week).

Oh shiggity!!! I almost forgot… HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  I am SO thankful for another day of life, love, and polish.  Leave a comment and let me know what what you are thankful for.

Love from,

CandyPaint

  1. I am tempted to give gel polish another shot. Time will tell.
