In an effort to broaden my horizon, I am constantly making changes. One major change coming soon will be this blog design. Well… it might not be SO major, but I will be adding additional pages to include, but not limited to, a contact and an about page (thanks Princess D). Additionally I will be moving this blog to another platform mainly because of my comments trouble. Even if you are able to post a comment I cannot, for the life of me, respond. So I need to get this out of the way before CandyPaint Nails, (*BOOM!*) blowuptuates.
The other area that is constantly under construction is my soul. I know, I know, stick to the nail polish at hand (pun intended), but you know I’ll figure out some way to tie it all together. Anyway I purchased Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert almost 1 year ago and I just started reading it last night. I’m only on page 20, but I think it will be a great book based off what I’ve read so far. Obviously, at this point, I’m unable to determine whether or not we share similar spiritual views but I am open to see what the this book has for me.
I have to admit that many times throughout the day, when I’m wearing an impressive color, my nails tend to distract me. However, last night, I was too engrossed in the pages of this book to care. Although I did sneak in 1… or maybe like 5 shots of my short’n chic nails.
This is China Glaze Pelican Gray from their new Anchors Away collection. I do like this color, but I’m not head over heels for it. It’s a light gray that, depending on the light, at times takes on a periwinkle/blue-ish hue. Overall its a great color however, it doesn’t scream CandyPaint. I like it better on a darker skin tone.
Check out my lil goddess. She’s so fashion forward at the tender age of 3. Every couple of weeks she comes up to me and says “Ma, can you paint my nails?” How could I deny that cute lil face the pleasure? I love my bip bip!!!
Since this is loosely about my spiritual journey, I’ll play a classic from one on my favorite artist during her open quest. There is no video to watch, just let the music play and enjoy!
SO…what do you think? Are you racing to get this color? Have you read or want to read this book? What’s really good?
P.S. I was DJ in my former life (candle lit under my open palm as I say that).

I kind of like that color. It doesn't seem like it's YOU though…unless you're feeling kind of industrial and edgy or something like that. The book?…awesome! The movie made about the book…awesome too!
I really wish I could wear polish (aside from french manicure) on my nails. I've got this ONE funky nail though that just doesn't act right. I just might try to whip it into shape tonight though. Hmmm….
LOVIN your blog honey!
