Birthday Manicure

*Singing* “Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!”  I just wanted to post my birthday manicure.  In my head this was a great idea, but in actuality it’s just ok.

I painted 2/3′s of my nail with ORLY Fancy Fushia and 1/3 OPI Heart to Heart with OPI with a stroke (more like 3) of MILANI JEWEL FX 530 Gems where the 2 colors met. I used the MILANI ($4) color because its a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday ($18).

The name says it all, but the MILANI JEWEL FX 530 Gems gives the same effect for a fraction of the cost, YIPPEE!  Glitters don’t last no matter who makes them, so I’m still #winning, LOL.

I like this manicure, but I wanted to love it.  What do you think?  I had a good day regardless, still singing…

  1. This is fabulous! Idk what you’re not in love! So pretty!

Ps – I was speed reading and saw $18 for that glitter polish and thought “Elizabeth sure does love polish” o_O. Then I re-read! :-p

Eartha I do love polish, but it’s highly unlikely that I’ll pay $18 for a bottle. The color has to be REALLY special and will probably never be a glitter even though Deborah Lippmann has some really unique glitters.

I think it’s cute and the glitter in the middle makes it original.
